Mercedes Leggett

Registered Acupuncturist

Mercedes is in constant awe and reverence of the 5000 year old eastern medicine Philosophies that are rooted in the observation of our human life connected to nature and not separate of it. Through observing the imbalances with humans during the changing seasons and the discovery of the acupuncture meridians and points within the body we are able to still use these practices today with great results.

Through the wonderment of restoring balance in the mind, body and spirit, root issues can be restored through the understanding of traditional Chinese medicine. Our western world is catching up to the ideas that ailments of the body can be connected to the emotional and mental state of the person. Eastern medicine books have been making the gut brain connection, and the importance of seasonal and constitutional diet, for as far back as they’ve been recording their treatments. She looks forward to combining Eastern allied therapies such as cupping, gua sha ( scrapping), TCM bodywork and moxibustion.

Always learning, Mercedes is currently finishing up her Holistic Nutritionist Certification so she can help curate food as medicine for folks to take home and encourage them to take their continued healing into their everyday lives.

Mercedes is looking forward to being in a clinic setting as she has been in the personal holistic wellness concierge sector for eight years, offering tailored work with Thai Massage and Restorative Yoga. She is connected strongly with the work that Dr. Brock offers and is excited to share space with him and the team here at Shift
